Annabel goes for the jugular

Today’s Herald reports that Annabel Goldie is preparing a St Andrew’s Day address which contains what it calls “ferocious attacks” on Alex Salmond. The paper provides this great little taster:

“Even when he is wrong - and he often is - it’s never his fault. It’s London, it’s the Treasury, it’s the bankers, and it’s the media. Never our Alex. Perish the thought he could ever be humble enough to admit he is ever wrong. Take the current recession and the banking bailouts. Put quite simply, Alex Salmond was out of his depth. Where there should have been substance, and analysis and careful plans, there was only soundbite and spin and froth.”

And Aunty Bella is who exactly?

She's someone who very clearly sees right through Alex Salmond.

Bugger. I was supposed to be going to the CF conference. If I'd known a speech like that was going to be made, I'd have moved my arse a bit faster.

    Sees right through him?

She'll have a golden lariat of truth next.

Nice person: Wrong party to ever...ever gain power in Scotland.

And Aunty Bella is who exactly?

She's the leader of a political party which holds 16 seats and received 17% of the popular vote in 2007.
