Minority consensus

Here’s another LIT whopper misunderstanding to add to the list. As reported in the Times and Scotsman, during FMQs yesterday Alex Salmond clamed that the SNP’s Scottish national income tax plan “carries a consensus support of the Scottish people”. But in fact, public support is now down to just 46%, despite the SNP’s claim that 90% (later amended to 67%) of households would pay less.
